about 3 years ago – Thu, Mar 04, 2021 at 09:59:09 AM

Just letting you all know that we received our printers proofs today and reviewed them. We have a few minor changes to make, but we should have those over to the printer tomorrow and then those presses will be rolling! Look for another update soon!

PDFs have been sent!
about 3 years ago – Thu, Feb 18, 2021 at 08:52:57 PM

THANK YOU

Thank you so much for your patience with us during this time. I wanted to just give you all a head's up that the PDFs are out in the wild. We sent them a few minutes ago using DriveThruRPG. If you have any questions, or don't receive yours, please don't hesitate to reach out. Send us a message here, and we'll get them to you.

Next step is the print versions! The files are all ready to go, and we'll be sending those on later. We want to give you all a couple of days to look over them, and if you spot anything we may be able to get those input before the print run. We'll have those back and ready to mail out before you know it! As for now, enjoy the PDFs and we can't wait to hear your stories about your campaigns.

2/11 Update!
about 3 years ago – Fri, Feb 12, 2021 at 08:06:41 AM

Here you go!

1) Bones in the Dust cover layout is being finalized. This is the last step and it should be wrapped up this weekend.

2) Tears in the Sea layout cover layout is being finalized.  The U19 character sheet is the last piece of this book, and is undergoing some graphical revisions, but that should be wrapped up really soon. It will be part of the book and an individual free PDF download.

3) Blood on the Snow layout draft is complete! We're looking to have that completely wrapped up this weekend or early next week. We may have an extra couple of pages in the signature (the folded group of pages) to fill in, and we have some thoughts. We would LOVE to know your thoughts or opinions, so please let us know in the comments.

  • Some additional in-character letters or fiction
  • Some blank copies of the textures we use for our letters and fiction pieces so you all can copy or print them and write your own in-character, thematic pieces.
  • Something else.

Long story short, we should have the PDFs to you very soon, and then they'll be off to the printer.

January Update and Our Promise to You
over 3 years ago – Sat, Jan 30, 2021 at 06:34:17 AM

Hey everyone! We wanted to drop you another update to let you know where we stand on this and to give you a little peace of mind.

  • Tears in the Sea: Second review draft reviewed and final layout.
  • Bones in the Dust: Second review draft reviewed and final layout.
  • Blood on the Snow: Layout assigned and begun!

Here is the exciting news. We previously let you know that we brought Charles Fergusson-Avery on board to do additional layout. He blazed through Bones in the Dust and has done an awesome job. It still retains the feel of all of our previous Never Going Home books, but definitely has a new little flair to it. We're still reviewing it, but this one is close. Charles is going to dive into Blood on the Snow immediately.

Layout Preview

We hope to be able to send these to print by the middle of February, and we'll have them to you digitally at that time as well. As soon as they're delivered to us, we'll have them in the mail to you all that week! Ultimately, what we want you all to understand is that getting these books to you is our top priority.

What's Next?

One of the things we regularly remind ourselves is this: "Ideas are easy. Execution is hard." As we mentioned, getting these books to you is where we're putting our effort and we are making the promise to you that we will not be splitting our attention with another Kickstarter or project launch until they are in  print and on their way to you. That's important to say because we also have TONS of projects in development that we know you'll love and can't wait to bring to life, so you know we're doing everything we can to bust this log jam. So once you have this, what can you expect to see? Here are just a few of the things you'll see from us in 2021.

  • Into the Wyrd and Wild, 2nd Edition: This partnership with Feral Indie Studios will bring the second edition of this fantastic book to life. That team is almost completely done with this so this will be an extremely short turnaround.
  • Dark Places & Demogorgons 5e: Created by Wet Ink Games in partnership with Bloat Games, this is a totally new way to experience the game of 80s teen horror originally designed by Eric Bloat and Josh Palmer. We're revamping this project that we ran late last year to bring you this great game packed full of excellent material.
  • Heckin' Good Doggos: This will be our family friendly RPG about Dogs Doing Dog Stuff. So many great designers are working on this, and having an opportunity to have artist Mike Mumah dive into this just brings a smile to our faces.
  • FROST: Written by Tyler Omichinski with art by Steven Wu, and graphic Design by Matthias Bonnici, this new sci-fi game takes place in a world of climate correction gone haywire.

Just know that we're excited to bring you these games and support our existing lines as well, buts most importantly we're committed to bringing you these gripping campaign dossiers before moving forward. If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know!
