BackerKit surveys are coming!
about 4 years ago – Thu, Feb 27, 2020 at 08:57:21 PM

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

So What's Next?

Upcoming Projects

The wheels here at Wet Ink Games never stop turning. We have a laundry list of games in development right now, so the rest of 2020 and 2021 are going to be FULL of great releases from us. The ones that you'll probably hear us talking about the most over the next few months are listed below, but we have a number that are already in the works so you'll see them pop up later.

Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall

One of the most exciting projects to come out of our meetings at GenCon was this game. Created by Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim, Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall is collaborative storytelling game where players dive into the roles of members of an immigrant family in 1920s San Francisco who are experiencing a haunting, but not everyone believes the stories of ghosts and spirits from the old country. This game will be a collaboration between Wet Ink Games and Game and a Curry, and will be hitting Kickstarter late Q2 or early Q3 of this year.

Dark Places and Demogorgons 5e

We've talked about this before a little bit in some of our interviews and conversations, but unless you've been paying really close attention, you may have missed it. We've partnered with Eric Bloat and Bloat Games to bring their popular Dark Places and Demogorgons OSR game to the 5e community. The game is a whole lot of fun now, and we're going to take the theme of the game and turn it up to eleven. You'll play middle and high school kids living your lives in Anytown, USA trying to keep up your grades, participate in extracurriculars, while trying to solve mysteries and not get killed by they local cryptids. We absolutely can not wait to bring you this game In September of this year.

Heckin' Good Doggos

This game was announced at GenCon last year, and is shaping up to be something really special. Heckin’ Good Doggos: Dogs Doin’ Dog Stuff is a new tabletop role-playing game which brings players into the world as pets who are responsible for the happiness and well-being of your best friends: your people! Written by industry veteran John Kennedy and newcomer Justin Giza, and with art by Mike Mumah, this family-friendly RPG will use Wet Ink Games’ +One system to make the game accessible to all pet lovers. There are a bunch of alternate settings too, which we can't wait to show you.

They Cried Monster

If you think we're busy, artist Charles Ferguson-Avery and his crew are just as busy, if not more so. In addition to his work on the Never Going Home Campaign Dossiers, Charles and his team at Feral Indie Studio launched an entry in Zine Quest 2 here on Kickstarter. THEY CRIED MONSTER (LINK) is an homage to stories like The Witcher and looks to be an awesome product. We supported it, and if you like his stuff, you might want to consider tossing a coin to your artist.

WOW! Funding complete!
about 4 years ago – Sun, Feb 09, 2020 at 10:01:43 PM

THANK YOU!

Thanks to you all, we had a great funding period and an amazing last 48 hours. We were able to unlock one stretch goal which we'll be including in Blood on the Snow, but we wanted to also let you all in on a little special announcement.

Because we didn't hit these goals, we'll be retooling them and working with some amazing designers over the next year and bringing them together into a more robust, singular project, which will also contain the box, tokens, playmats, and some of the other special features we wanted to unlock. We don't have a timetable or a finished concept yet, but we will definitely keep you in the loop as things progress.

What's next?

We'll be moving these books into final production, but we're also getting some teams together for our next big projects here at Wet Ink Games. We'll be posting a couple of updates later this week with some really fun details about these upcoming projects and when you might expect to see more about them.

In the meantime, we need to get some rest after all this. You all are great, and we couldn't have done it without you.
